Edward Peter Washabaugh IV, Ph.D.

Dr. Washabaugh is a post doctoral research assistant in the NeuRRo Lab. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan under the mentorship of Dr. Chandramouli Krishnan. Previously, he was an NSF graduate research fellow (GRFP) and received his B.S.E. and M.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Dr. Washabaugh's research interests include designing and testing robotic devices for physical therapy of patients with neuromuscular impairments. Specifically, he is focusing on creating low cost technologies for functional resistance training of the upper- and lower-extremities, and testing the biomechanical/neurophysiological changes due to training with these devices.
