Edward Peter Washabaugh is defending his Ph.D. dissertation titled "Functional Resistance Training During Walking: Design, Testing, and Evaluation of Passive and Semi-Passive Wearable Devices for Providing Targeted Resistance to the Leg During Gait" on May 27 at 10.00 A.M. Peter joined the NeuRRo Lab in 2014. He has been very instrumental in the growth of the NeuRRo Lab, and we are very proud of his achievements. He is an NSF fellow and has published about 20 peer-reviewed articles (several more to come) during his time at the NeuRRo Lab. He has authored more than 50 conference presentations and has two approved patent applications. He is an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals spanning across the field of biomechanics, engineering, and rehabilitation. He is a winner of the Derek Tat Award, Annals of Biomedical Engineering Athanasiou ABME Student Award, and the University of Michigan Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship.
